Mom's Chocolate Mousse

Cookie Crumb Crust
Mix:
3 c. chocolate wafers, crumbs
1/2 c. melted unsalted butter

Press in to sides and bottom of a 10" springform pan, about 2/3 up sides. Refrigerate 30 min. or freeze.

Filling
1 lb. semi sweet chocolate (2 - 8 oz. boxes)
2 whole eggs
4 egg yolks
2 c. whipped cream
6 T. powdered sugar
4 egg whites

Soften chocolate. Let cool, add whole eggs and mix well. Then add 4 egg yolks. Whip cream with powdered sugar. Beat egg whites until stiff. Stir a little cream and egg whites into chocolate. Then fold in rest. Pour mixture into crust. Chill 6 hours or overnight.

Top pie with another 2 c. of whipped cream. Can add grated chocolate or chocolate leaves.

For chocolate leaves: dip leaves (real leaves) into melted chocolate and coat underside to a good thickness. Put in freezer with leaves on. After firmly set, peel leaves off.
