1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 t. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 t. ginger
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. allspice
4 eggs
Cream shortening & sugar. Stir in molasses. Stir soda into sour milk and add alternately to creamed mixture with the flour which has been sifted with the allspice. Beat in eggs one at a time. Pour into greased & floured 9" x 12" pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
