Use amounts of ingredients according to taste….
Sautee some diced chicken breast or chicken tenders and a large onion, chopped, in olive oil. Some butter is also good with the olive oil.
Add and saute cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped or minced...as many as you like.
Add a 32 oz box of organic chicken broth…or more broth or water as needed
Add a large bay leaf and a cinnamon stick.
Put the following into various tea balls so you can remove easily before eating: A two-inch piece of fresh gingerroot, washed, not peeled and cut into tiny pieces, a few whole cloves, a few allspice, about 1/8 t. of red pepper flakes.Add 1 -2 t. or more of turmeric, some celery salt, 1-2 T. of apple cider vinegar.
Add sea salt and black pepper or cayenne if you want more spice.
Add chopped carrots, celery, sweet potato and parsley.
When it comes to a boil add about 1/3 c barley, (rinse before adding) and allow to cook for an hour. Add a few egg noodles (optional) and more fresh parsley.
Feel much better!

I made this yesterday for Tate (who has a cold) and it was AMAZING! Great smell, great taste & wonderful flavor. You can even smell & taste it when you are super congested!
